Of all the off-road bikes we make, there’s something very, very special about the CRF250RX. And it’s even better for 2025. Combining the explosive power, light weight and no-compromise performance of a 250 motocrosser, it’s fine-tuned by our engineers (and racers) for stellar performance in off road events. We start with our CRF250R (including all the upgrades for this year) and dial the RX in with an 18-inch rear wheel, special ECU settings, handguards, a convenient sidestand, a larger fuel tank, and much more that make it a fantastic choice no matter where you ride.
Sharing all the 2025 updates, the CRF250RX also has a larger, 8L plastic fuel tank for extended range, and 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels wearing Dunlop™ AT81 tyres. For enduro use there are unique settings for both engine ECU and Showa suspension, opening up performance across a broader range. Standard-fit knuckle guards protect hands and levers, and an aluminium side stand tucks away neatly.
Features
New Aluminium Twin-Spar Frame
We've carefully tuned the frame’s rigidity balance to factory rider spec, to boost corner speed over rough, torn up track conditions and improve high-speed stability.
New Triple Clamps, Axle, and Steering Stem
New triple clamps for 2025 work with a revised fork, front axle, and steering stem to provide a consistent suspension feel and improve rigidity, responsiveness, and turning performance.
High-Volume Airbox
The airbox and air-cleaner element have a larger surface area and volume to increase mid-range power. Additionally, the air filter is easy to service.
Electric Starter
It's equipped with an effortless electric starter. Convenient and lightweight, it’s a huge deal if you need to restart a stalled bike in the heat of battle.
Single Exhaust
The bike uses a single-pipe header and a single muffler. It routes close to the center, and its light overall construction helps improve weight distribution.
Handguards
Whether you're ripping through dunes or hustling through some tight forest, handguards are absolutely necessary on a bike like this. That’s why it's equipped with them right from the factory.
Side Stand
Real enduro bikes need a side stand, and we've given this bike a great one. We've tucked it in tighter, so it’s out of the way on the trail.
Fuel Injection System
Tilting the fuel injector at a 60-degree angle sprays fuel directly towards the throttle butterfly, providing the engine with a denser and cooler fuel charge and increasing torque and power.
SHOWA Spring® Fork
The 49mm Showa® fork has a traditional spring design and a 39mm piston with a 25mm rod diameter that enhances precision, handling, and feel. Upgrades in 2025 include new springs, seals, and valves for a consistent stroke feel across the full range.
3-Level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC)
Minimise spin and maximise drive – HSTC offers light, medium and strong intervention levels to suit terrain or riding style. HSTC can also be turned off.
Nine-plate Clutch
It uses a nine-plate design to improve durability and hookup. That means less slip at peak horsepower, better torque transmission through the clutch pack, and improved durability.
Power Up 249.4cc
More direct airflow in and a straighter exhaust out improves slow-speed throttle feel and picks up mid- to top-end acceleration and power past peak. While a new crankshaft design spins up faster. The unique finger-follower rocker design in a double-overhead-cam (DOHC) layout provides more power and a higher redline.
