The mountains are calling. An all-round legend of adventure touring is reborn. With class-leading power and torque, in a chassis that delivers light on-road handling plus off-road control. A fairing and screen built for aerodynamics and wind protection, with the optimal riding position for all-day touring comfort. The new XL750 Transalp asks only one question. How far do you want to go?
Sure, the headline figures grab attention. 67.5kW of power and 75Nm of torque are strong numbers. But it’s the way the all-new, 755cc 8-valve parallel twin-cylinder engine delivers where you'll really notice.
So, on a dirt track, around town or out on the open road, two-up and fully loaded, this engine is tuned for the versatile performance you need.
The 755cc parallel twin cylinder engine is designed to produce a hard hit of top end power, with maximum output of 67.5kW @ 9,500rpm. This is accompanied by significant usable torque in the low to mid rpm range, rising to a peak of 75 Nm @ 7,250rpm. The result is an engine that provides usable, enjoyable performance for rides of all types and all distances.

Power And Torque Tuned For Versatility
It’s the way the all-new, 755cc 8-valve parallel twin-cylinder engine delivers you’ll really notice. Our Air vortex intake technology amplifies and smooths low- and mid-range response, while the cylinders use high-specification Ni-SiC plating to reduce friction – and increase power – at high rpm. So, on a dirt track, around town or out on the open road, two-up and fully loaded, this engine is tuned for the versatile performance you need.
Selectable riding modes
Four default riding modes – Gravel, Sport, Standard and Rain – make it easy for most riding conditions and alter the level of engine power and braking, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Wheelie Control and level of ABS intervention. User mode allows your custom preference of each parameter, including rear ABS switch off for off-road riding. All managed via the 5-inch TFT screen.
Authentic Design - Built Tough
We've designed the Transalp to be the perfect partner for your adventures – wherever they lead. It has a purposeful look and feel, with zero excess and built tough. So, whether dealing with the urban sprawl, covering big highway distance or navigating endless trails the slim proportions of the mid-section combine with sleek fairing aerodynamics to give freedom with wind protection. And, of course, the beautiful Tricolour paint option pays homage to the original XL600V and marks the return of an icon.
Assist/Slipper Clutch
The assist and slipper clutch includes an assist function to reduce the operation load of the clutch lever as well as a slipper function to mitigate impacts from rapid engine braking accompanying downshifting.
Steel Diamond Frame
The steel diamond frame is lightweight at 18.3kg. An advanced technological process has produced a hugely strong platform, with rigidity balanced to deliver feel and geometry set for agility – just what the all new engine needs to achieve impressive power to weight ratio.
City Streets to Mountain Passes
This bike is built to go the distance, so genuine comfort – for two – matters. An 850mm seat height and 208kg kerb weight make the Transalp easy to manage from walking pace upwards; the riding position is relaxed yet sits you upright, offering great visibility and natural comfort.
Superior Suspension
To ensure off-road performance and neutral handling in various types of road environments, SHOWA suspension has been used in both front and rear. Inverted front forks are made of forged aluminium for lighter weight and optimum balance between strength and rigidity. Rear suspension has a spring preload adjuster, pressurized shock absorber with a separate tank and Pro Link aluminium hybrid swing arm for high manoeuvrability.
Dual Wave Disc Brakes
The front brake boasts dual 310mm “wave” discs while the rear uses a 1-pot caliper and 256mm single disc. Enjoy riding with a sense of security from paved to unpaved roads.
TFT Digital Display
The 5” full colour high-visibility screen offers four types of speed/rpm display – analogue or bar, according to rider preference – as well as fuel gauge/consumption, riding mode selection/engine parameters, gear selected and customisable shift-up point on the tachometer. Management is via the screen and switchgear on the left handlebar.
Aerodynamic Performance And Wind Protection
The Transalp’s body lines have been specifically designed to reduce wind drag and rider fatigue. For open visibility forward, and excellent wind deflection, the screen’s height has been carefully optimised. Its compact width also minimises turbulence from trapped air.
