Our Pioneer 1000-5 models include Honda QuickFlip® seating in the bed, letting you instantly switch from a fold-flat bed configuration to comfortable passenger seating. From the 450kg hauling to the 1100kg+ towing capacity, it is designed to take what you need to where you need it.
Choose from 3, 4, or 5 seats depending on what your situation requires. Fully-independent front and rear suspension with some of the longest travel of any multi-purpose side-by-side. And open or locked front and rear differentials that prevent you from unnecessarily tearing up delicate surfaces.

The Pioneer 1000-5P Deluxe offers all the features of the 5P with the addition of 14" aluminium wheels with an all black finish, an under-dash storage shelf to help keep useful items within arms reach, an accessory switch panel integrated into the dashboard design, and a 12-Volt power socket in the bed using a common “cigarette-lighter” style of outlet, perfect for powering things like a spotlight, work light, sprayer, air compressor, 110-Volt inverter and more.

We've given the engine huge power in our entire Pioneer 1000 lineup, especially in the midrange and top end. And thanks to the lower gear ratios, you’ll feel quick acceleration and stellar overall performance. Using the same Unicam® cylinder head design found in our motocross bikes, the class-leading 999cc liquid-cooled inline twin is compact, while delivering the kind of horsepower and torque you’d expect from a flagship model.
Powerful Brakes
The Pioneer’s uncompromising power helps take you further than ever before. The reliable disc brakes help you stop on a dime. Built to the same standard as you'd find in our autos, the four-wheel disc brakes help minimise debris build up, ensuring consistent performance and giving you confidence on the farm or trail.
Independent Suspension Front & Rear
Dual A-arm suspension gives you 266mm of travel in the front and 254mm in the rear. Pair that with stellar ground clearance, and you maximise available traction and superior comfort manoeuvring over terrain other side-by-sides would shy away from.
Updated Dashboard
Updated dashboard offers better control at your fingertips to select the right driving mode, control gears, and switch between 2WD and 4WD. All the essential data is fed back to you via the easy to read LCD screen, and there's dual cup holders to bring the coffee along on the cold mornings.
Passenger Protection
Staying safe is essential, both at work and when having fun. That’s why the Pioneer 1000 is equipped with an Occupant Protection Structure, using large-diameter tubing and meeting the ISO rollover protection standard. Plus, we increased the tubing thickness to make it even stronger, and gave the structure new hip bars to make getting in and out easier. In the cabin, integrated handrails, recessed top tubes, and automotive-style three-point seatbelts with emergency locking retractors help keep passengers securely in place.
Easy to Read Multi-Function Dash
The multi-function LCD dash display is large enough to host loads of information, in an easy-to-read way, like speed and fuel level. RPM and transmission mode. Fuel gauge, water temperature, trip information and more. It even includes a clock, so you’ll always know when it’s time for some fun.
Rubber Mounted Engine & Exhaust
Some of the most impressive Pioneer 1000 features are those you'll never see. In addition to the suspension and ground clearance, we rubber-mounted the engine and exhaust system to insulate the cabin against excessive vibration. So while you may not see this feature, it’s one you will definitely notice.
Steering Column-Mounted Paddle Shifters
Steering column-mounted paddle shifters add a serious dose of performance in every drive. In Manual mode, they let you shift without ever taking your hands off the wheel, and in Automatic mode, they let you override the current gear with a quick up or downshift, holding that gear for several seconds before returning to Automatic mode.
High/Low Sub-Transmission
With a full 42-percent gear reduction between High and Low, you get the torque you need in all six gears. It comes in handy when driving over difficult terrain, scaling steep hills, or towing heavy loads.
Turf Mode/2WD/4WD/Diff Lock
Don't tear up sensitive surfaces. Select Turf Mode. If you want to access as much traction as possible, put it in 4WD. Need maximum power at all four wheels? Lock the front and rear differentials. And the best part is, you can do it all with a shift of a single lever.
Self-Load Levelling Rear Suspension
Even when you push your Pioneer 1000-5 to the limits, you compromise nothing. Just take the load-leveling suspension with cargo, passengers, or both piled into the back - the rear suspension automatically adjusts to the weight change. So you maintain ground clearance, comfort, and handling, without compromises.
A Breath of Fresh Air
To get the most out of your engine, you need the best air going into it. That’s why we positioned the air intake up high under the hood. It helps ensure a clean air supply, even at deeper fording depths, and with a new viscous air filter element, you get increased performance and longer service intervals.
1100kg+ Towing Capacity
The Pioneer 1000 is capable of towing 1,134 kilos. So instead of hopping on the tractor or taking out the truck, you can stay right in your side-by-side and tackle those bigger jobs with relative ease.
Tilt/Dump Bed
With 454kgs of bed hauling and when it comes to dumping, we've made it easier than ever, with a hydraulic assist tilt bed lever that can be accessed from outside the vehicle, or right from the driver’s seat.
Quickflip® Seating
Versatility is the defining feature of the Pioneer 1000-5P, and nothing illustrates that better than our industry-exclusive QuickFlip® seating system. Switch between 3-person mode with full cargo and tilt bed functionality, to 4-person mode, to 5. Seats lay flat in the bed, and pop up in an instant whenever you need them.
Fully-Automatic Six-Speed DCT Transmission
Drive the way you want, with the industry’s first and only all gear-driven six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. Choose between manual mode or fully automatic. Plus, the addition of Sport Mode increases the fun, shifting at higher RPM for a spirited, full-performance driving experience.
