TRAXLOK®
Our rock-solid TraxLok system lets you select either 2WD or 4WD. This gives you the freedom to easily move between lighter steering (in 2WD) and maximising available traction (in 4WD) when you need it most.
Shaft Drive
Honda's direct shaft drive means no risk of belt slippage in wet or muddy conditions and a reliable feel, perfect for navigating tough terrain or in less than ideal weather. It also means less maintainence requirements than competitior models. Saving you in the long run.
Longitudinal Engine Layout
Unique to Honda. This allows direct drive-shaft alignment to both front and rear wheels for maximum drive train efficiency. Less moving parts and right angles in the driveline mean less maintainence, less costs and less downtime. Perfect for farmers.
Semi-Dry Sump Engine Design
The semi-dry sump design allows the engine to sit lower in the frame, due to the fact it allows for a more compact engine layout. This lowers the centre of gravity, which improves stabilty. It also allows for reduced internal drag, and improved lubrication under load. The end result, less wear and tear keeping you moving on farm for longer.
Electronic Differential Lock
Honda's simple diff-lock switch allows you to lock the front diff easily anytime you need more traction. This reduces chances of getting stuck in a sticky situation.
Dual Range Drive / Low Shifter (Auto models)
Honda's Dual Range Drive/Low Shifter on select Honda ATV models equipped with Automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT). This system allows riders to choose between two gear ranges—Drive for most everyday riding and low range which is ideal for challenging situations such as navigating technical terrain, pulling heavy loads, or requiring increased torque at lower speeds.
Electronic Reverse Switch
Honda's Automatic ATV's offer a class leading reverse switch. It allows you to switch into reverse gear in a second and get on with the job.
Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT)
The automatic dual-clutch transmission (DCT) on the TRX520FA6 and TRX420FA2 does not rely on unreliable drive belts, instead it has mechanical steel gears. This means it has the compact size and strength of a manual transmission. It’s incredibly durable, resulting in less need for servicing and provides excellent engine braking.
